One of Nissan’s best sport utility vehicles which particularly fulfills the needs of the families is once again announced for some small adjustments. It is the all new 2019 Nissan Rogue. Although the 2018 model year has just joined the large SUV market, the 2019 model year should also arrive with some small upgrades.
The current model, precisely the 2018 model year has brought not so many but important changes. First of all, earlier versions have the optional third row in an offer, but this time all the models will arrive with five-seat capacity. However, this is not that bad since the third row has been very tight. As well, the Rogue has also been improved with the latest infotainment system and larger touchscreen on the center of the dashboard. Furthermore, the infotainment system also included Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
The equipment has been upgraded also depending on a trim level. Therefore, all the versions have received more standard features. On the other hand, speaking of the engines all the models will arrive with the same engine under the hood as before, but the hybrid version should also be on the offer. The 2018 model year has arrived with two new exterior colors too. Those included Scarlet Ember and Midnight Pine.
Generally, the Nissan Rogue is one of the company’s best-selling models since it provides very cozy and quiet cabin but also a very generous cargo space. It is very fuel efficient too and very practical. The 2019 Rogue should arrive in the same trim levels offered in the current model. Those are the base S, then SV and the top ranging SL model.
2019 Nissan Rogue engines and performances
Like the current model, all the versions of the 2019 Nissan Rogue should arrive with the same engine under its hood. And it is very likely that there won’t be any upgrades this time. So, the 2019 Nissan Rogue will probably be powered by a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine. This unit will be able to develop 170 horsepower and the torque of 175 pound-feet. It will pair with a continuously variable transmission. The front-wheel-drive system will be standard while the all-wheel-drive system will be available too.
On the other hand, the Nissan Rogue should also arrive with a hybrid drivetrain. It could be a combination of the same 2.5-liter inline-4 and an electric motor of 30 kWh. However, the exact output is still not available but it should be similar to the one of the last year’s model. So, it will most likely be able to develop up to 176 hp.
Speaking of the fuel efficiency, the Rogue gets 26 mpg in the city, 33 mpg on the highway and 29 mpg combined with the front-wheel-drive system. With all-wheel drive, it is rated at 25/32/27/ mpg. Furthermore, the hybrid engine should arrive with much better fuel economy than the traditional engine. For example, the 2017 model year gets 33/35/34 mpg with FWD while with AWD it is rated at 31/34/33 mpg.
Design of exterior and interior
When it comes to exterior design, the Nissan Rogue features clean and handsome styling, but we cannot say that it is a vehicle that could draw our attention from the instant. The whole body is nicely sculpted with familiar V-shaped grille on the front and attractive taillights on the rear. It rides on the standard 17-inch wheels while the larger 18- and 19-inch wheels will be optional. Furthermore, the SV and SL trim levels will get more chrome details and will look sleeker.
However, perhaps the 2019 Nissan Rogue will bring some new details and touches this time in order to look more modern and fresh.
Speaking of the interior design, the upcoming 2019 Nissan Rogue will be able to welcome up to five passengers, and the optional third row won’t be offered this time. The dashboard will feature the upgraded 7.0-inch touchscreen with the improved infotainment system and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
The base Rogue S will come standard with keyless entry, Bluetooth, power windows and locks, audio system with four speakers, six airbags, blind-spot monitors, automatic emergency braking, a rearview camera and rear cross-traffic alerts. The SV will add two speakers more, tinted windows, alloy wheels etc. However, the optional equipment will include a surround view camera, Bose audio, adaptive cruise control, a panoramic moonroof, and navigation. The top trim S L gets leather upholstery, navigation and adaptive cruise control as standard.
Release date and price
The Nissan car maker hasn’t revealed the information about the arrival of the 2019 Nissan Rogue. The price should be similar to the one of the current model. So the base model should start at around $24,700, the SV should be $26,000 while the SL should cost roughly $31,000.
