THE PORSCHE 911 RSR 2.1 TURBO WAS A MONSTER
It was the first turbo 911. The Porsche 911 RSR 2.1 Turbo participated in the Group 5 category of FIA’s World Championship for Makes in 1974. Herbert Müller and Gijs van Lennep also won runner up during the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1974. The 911 was a beast with its big spoiler, Color combination of this version was fantastic, absolutely adaptable.
HE WAS NOT READY FOR IT
It was 3.0 liters Engine which was decided by FIA. Porsche took up a 2.14-liter boxer engine and attached a gigantic KKK turbocharger. The Porsche 911 RSR 2.1 Turbo was born in a motorsport . Car manufacturers blew huge budgets. That was also testified by this engine. It was the craziest car in that time.
The six-cylinder engine had a greatness , polished titanium rods, large-capacity oil pumps, dual ignition, mechanical fuel injection and cooled intake valves. That combination proved to be potent. 500 horsepower-potent, even.
And do not forget, this was in 1974.
