Auto Expo – The Motor Show focused on new technologies and innovation in the auto industry. It was a signature event, in terms of products, technologies, concepts and trends. watch the video.
So here is the list of top 10 eye catchy concepts showcased at Auto Expo 2020, Greater Noida, INDIA
1. Mercedes-Benz A-class
As we all know that Mercedes-Benz India is replace the CLA with the new A-class sedan.
While the model showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 was the range-topping AMG A35 which is sportier in terms of its looks and power.
The models likely to come to India are the 163hp A 200 petrol and the 116hp A 180d diesel.
The price of around Rs 32 lakh to 40 lakh is expected. and its rivals are BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé and Audi A3.
2. Mg Gloster SUV
Most of the people awaited MG Gloster full-size SUV and it has officially made its debut in India. and its showcased in Auto Expo 2020 as a concept.
It will be the third SUV to be launched by the Chinese-owned British carmaker in India and is already on sales in China as the D90 under MG’s parent company, SAIC’s Maxus brand.
The MG Gloster is a proper three-row SUV, and upon its launch, it will go up against the likes of the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, and Mahindra Alturas.
The MG Gloster will be launched in India in later 2020 or early 2021.
3. Renault Kwid K-ZE EV
The next car in the row is Renault’s Kwid-based EV. It may be a while before it’s in a Renault showroom near you but the K-ZE will be priced competitively. Thanks to the local assembly.
The 44hp/125Nm electric motor draws power from a 26.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which has a 271km range on the NEDC cycle.
It takes four hours to charge the battery to 100 percent, though a DC fast charger.
4. Skoda Vision In
The new SUV Skoda Vision IN Concept, which is Skoda’s Vision concept series and particularly important for the Indian market.
The exterior design sketches of the concept give an idea of what to expect. In terms of styling, it resembles the earlier Vision Concepts with its imposing mustache grille, wide bonnet, and two-tier headlamps. The upper part of the split headlamp unit, however, looks sharp and they extend towards the grille in a familiar fashion of Audis grille design.
The concept measures 4.26 meters in length. Beneath the headlamps are faux air-intakes with black surround.
Also seen are the three-recessed bash plate finished in aluminum and a contrast black cladding on the lower bumper.
5. Tata Sierra
While the Sierra may ‘officially’ be a concept, the positive reaction received by the show car has set Tata Motors down a path that could eventually lead to production. Originally initiated as a sort of 75th-anniversary celebration for Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company (TELCO) – the forerunner of Tata Motors – the Sierra Concept draws inspiration from the 1991 original pickup-based two-door SUV. This is clear as soon as you see the design in profile, where the iconic window graphic is instantly recognizable. Inspired by a similar DLO (Daylight Opening) of the 1970’s Ford Bronco, the original Tata Sierra was an absolute delight if you were sat in the rear.
6. Kia Sonet
Kia Motors India has finally revealed its close-to-production sub-4m SUV concept, the Sonet, at Auto Expo 2020. This sub-4m SUV will be launched by August 2020. It will be Kia’s third offering for India after the Seltos and Carnival. The Sonet concept made its world debut in India, just like the SP Concept (which later became the Seltos) at Auto Expo 2018
7. Suzuki Jimny
Maruti Suzuki wants to up its game in the SUV space and while the Futuro-e concept gives us a peek into what to expect, the company has also brought the Jimny to India at the 2020 Auto Expo. The model that has come to your shore is the bigger Suzuki Jimny Sierra, sold in Europe, instead of the shorter Kei car version of the SUV that is sold in Japan. The reigning 2019 World Urban Car of the Year may be rebadged Gypsy for India – since that model has had a cult following in urban and rural India.
8. Volkswagen Taigun

9. Hyundai Creta
Hyundai Motor India unveiled the second-generation Creta at the Auto Expo 2020 on February 6. The new Hyundai Creta will be launched in India in March this year, with its price expected to be in the range of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2020 Creta’s exteriors have been completely refurbished and major updates have been made to the interiors. It might be made available with as many as three engine options.
10. Mahindra eKUV100
While the bookings for the new Mahindra eKUV100 will open in March, the deliveries of the EV (electric vehicle) will commence in April. Powering the new Mahindra eKUV100 is an electric motor that delivers 54hp and 120Nm of peak torque. It is offered with an automatic transmission. The eKUV100 electric vehicle comes with a 15.9 lithium-ion battery, that can be charged from 0-80 percent in 60 minutes. The claimed range of the EV is 147 km.
